Sharing Other People's Perspective │ How To Develop Empathy In The Workplace
Sharing other people's perspective is the key to learning how to develop empathy in the workplace. Most people understand the importance of empathy when it comes to our social lives – dealing with friends and loved ones. But why do we need empathy at work? You need effective communication in business even more than you need it in your personal life. Think of the last time you got into a disagreement at work. How did you resolve it? You can’t just kiss and make up, after all. Most conflict is the result of different perspectives. Both sides can be right. They’re just looking at things from where they stand, in light of their own needs. You can understand where the conflict is coming from through sharing other people's perspective. Ask yourself what it’s like to be in their position. What is it like in sales? What do people have to go through in order to do their jobs? Owners and leaders know how to develop empathy in the workplace. They take every opportunity to understand the other person’s perspective. Talk to people. Find out what goes on during their day – what it’s like to be them. Try to see the world through their eyes. When you have empathy for their struggles in the company, you’ll be able to find the middle ground the next time there’s a workplace conflict. One of the marks of true leadership is knowing how to bring your team together to work towards a common goal. As a leader with empathy, you can easily provide inspiration and motivation to your team because you understand them. Sharing other people's perspective gives you insight into what makes them tick. Knowing how to develop empathy in the workplace isn’t just a nice thing to do. It’s a highly effective business strategy.

Tips For Success From A Leading Speaker On Corporate Culture
As a leading speaker on corporate culture I’ve talked to thousands of business owners and managers about the effects of improving company culture, which continues to be one of the most underrated factors in a company’s productivity, success, and profitability. I believe I’ve helped my clients improve their businesses, but there is still a lot to be done. Most executives, companies, and even entrepreneurs, continue to view corporate culture improvements as nothing more than a sort of luxury. In my talks I emphasize the effects an improved corporate culture can have on your business. I point out the many different ways toxic and negative behaviors on the part of both employees and managers can drastically hurt your company’s productivity. I stress the stunning fact that, even in today’s day and age, more than 70% of the employees in the Western World still say that they’re unmotivated and uninspired in their work, that they have little to no desire to push themselves, and that they’re often just “mailing it in.” It’s easy for most managers and CEOs to simply blame “bad employees” for this statistic, but as a leading speaker on corporate culture, my belief is that negative and subpar company culture is what creates these so-called “bad employees” in the first place. During my years of experience working with businesses on their company culture, I’ve done countless talks in front of associations and corporations, as well as individual consultations.
