Most companies have a stated culture and a hidden culture. The stated culture is what is plastered all over the wall when you walk into the reception area. It’s the “We believe that … Blah blah blah…” The hidden culture is what is really going on within the company. Not sure what is really going on? Ask some people three levels down and really listen. The bigger the gap between the stated culture and the hidden culture the more out of touch leadership is and the more dysfunctional the company.
